The future role and function of public galleries and museums will come under the spotlight in Museum21 , a major symposium at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 November. Topics will range from classical museum practice through the relationship between art, politics and the community to the increasingly important question of the impact of globalisation on art practice in non-Western societies.
